Roger Pimenta is a Vancouver based photographer/social documentarian. He is a visual storyteller who attempts to communicate, educate, and stretch his audience to see the world around them. His projects can vary anywhere from stories dealing with social injustice, poverty, religion, culture and humanity. Particularly through his passion and focus on street photography, he constantly strives to capture moments that pass by without notice that can tell a story by itself. In addition to his projects and when not travelling, Roger is also motivated by local issues, national politics, art, and cultural events. He works primarily in the black and white medium and with few exception uses only available lighting. Roger’s approach is less technical and more focused on building awareness and emotional connection with the subject he is photographing. When not shooting, Roger is working with existing and potential clients helping them to develop their ideas by creating a visual story through his photographs. Roger is currently developing future projects that will have him travelling to Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
