Roger Pimenta is a Canadian based photographer who's assignments and personal pursuits have taken him to all corners of the globe. His work focuses on documentary / reportage as well as adventure travel assignments / projects. A regular contributor to numerous press and photo agencies, his images have been widely published by media outlets, journals, and publications around the world covering a broad range of topics: environmental, social activism, culture, adventure travel, sports and more. Never believing in being a specialist in any one genre, Roger’s eye and focus have remained as broad as his subjects.
Having covered stories and photographed in over 35 countries, and 6 continents, (Australia eludes him); he’s amassed an archive of experiences. He readily shares these stories through various public discussions, educational speaking engagements, and as a regular guest presenter at workshops held all over the world.
In recent years, Roger has been working on assignment in the world’s Polar regions as a guide and photographer in residence for a number of expedition companies. He not only documents the culture, environment, wildlife, and the travellers to these extreme places; he also leads workshops, and photo clinics with an emphasis on environmental story telling through the use of imagery.
